Besides my penchant for all things science and tech, I also enjoy a lot of non-geeky activities. I love to travel and go on adventures to strange, new places (high preference for beaches). I'm also an avid runner training for my first marathon in 2013. It's something of a form of mediation for me to shut off my brain for a while and blast music on my iDevice while running along the many beautiful trails in Portland, Oregon. I really enjoy reading although given my current schedule, it's tough to read outside of assigned stuff from work and school; but I try to squeeze in what I can. I'm also an avid gamer and science fiction reader/movie watcher (fine, those last things were geeky ;)).
